Hi girls, I'm kind of new here. I would like to start temping next cycle. What should I know about taking my temps, charting and ovulation? should I prepare somehow for that?
All kind of advices are very welcome!!

Buy a good, reliable thermometer! That would be the first thing :)

More, it's important to know when to temp. When you enter your data, the chart will detect your O day. Here you can find the basics about temping http://ovufriend.com/faq/taking-your-temperature/how-do-i-track-of-my-basal-body-temperature,154.html

Yes, I have done my fair research on whether to use a regular thermometer or basal, and I went with basal due to the best reviews. Also, take your temperature everyday at the same time. Alcohol and lack of sleep the night before can affect your temperatures.

What are the difference between a regular thermometer or basal one? I'm using a regular one.

@ Mini Chinni - After how many cycles on Metformin your cycles became more regular?

Josi: The basal ones gives you 2 numbers after the decimal point, as for the regular ones just one. I read that it is easier to know when you are ovulating with the basals. I do not think there is anything wrong with using the regular one though, if you already have it. No reason to buy a new one.
