After 11 months of trying to conceive I've tried to make some changes.

I'm only on cycle day 2, but I've changed to Pregnacare vitamins and I've started taking Agnus Castus (Holland & Barratt).

I have read lots of different stories about Agnus Castus but I thought I'd try it.

Has anyone else tried?

Would be interested to hear your stories/views on these tablets.

Louise

Hi, Agnus Castus is promoted to be a herbal hormone balancer! I read a lot of good things on the internet about it and tried it in March. I stopped taking my contraceptive pill in Jan and suffered a lot of symptoms, importantly I did not appear to be ovulating. I started AC and 7 days later things started to kick off. My cycle has started to even out, still not perfect but getting there. I took it for 3 months in a row non-stop then the next month until I detected ovulation (I read about doing this somewhere) and stopped. No pregnancy yet but I do think it helped to level my VERY unbalanced hormones!

I've heard that it takes around 3 months to have an effect so I'll stick it out for a while and see how it goes.

I seem to be ovulating around the same(ish) time every month and my luteal phase appears ok but my cycle lengths vary dramatically. I decided to take it to see if it would balance my cycles out.

I have heard that it also takes 3 months. I have also heard that women take it from CD1-O, all cycle long, or until the end of first trimester. IDK which one to follow exactly, especially if I want to make my LP longer.

I been taking agnus castus from holland and barret too. Make me feel sleepy day and night, awful mood swings and sore boobs...and 150 days cycle! i took it for 3 cycles because i thought any side effect are due to balancing my hormones! i been wrong! Agnus castus is good for girls who got too high prolactine level. I got normal prolactine and been lowering mine why i felt so crap! Is better to first make a blood test to check prolactine before starting agnus castus because can really mees up your cycles!
