3dpo is way too early for implantation. It takes place from 6dpo to 12dpo, most likely on 9dpo.
Maybe it was ovulation related pain and spotting.

About 1/4 of my cycles I get brown/red/pink spotting right before, during or right after ovulation. I thought it was implantation bleeding, but from what I know it's not. :(

Although most people get implantation bleeding 6-12dpo, the window can range from 3-14dpo or even longer. Although it will mostly not be implantation bleeding, but it may still be possible!
