If you haven't been taking your basal body temperature, but have been doing ovulation tests, OvuFriend will determine only tentative ovulation date on your chart. It will be marked with a dotted line. This means ovulation has not been confirmed by your basal body temperature, which is the only indicator of fertility that can confirm the occurrence of ovulation. Other indicators (i.e. ovulation tests, cervical mucus and the cervix) may only announce impending ovulation, which sometimes does not happen due to factors like stress or lifestyle changes. That is why, if you don't record your temperature, OvuFriend will mark the assumed date of the occurrence of ovulation with a dotted line rather than a continuous one.
